This posting is for a Class A CDL truck driver for either a 28' straight truck, a 54' tractor trailer or a 48' flatbed. Materials carried are non-hazardous building materials, consisting primarily of roofing, decking, siding, doors and windows. The routes vary daily and begin from our warehouse in Knoxville, Tennessee, and conclude each day, with no overnight delivery travel at this time. This is for a Monday through Friday driver role, no weekends. ​ JOB REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must be a good communicator, both with the company and the customer, and maintain a professional, helpful spirit with the customer. Should be self-motivated and able to work independently or as a team. Must be dependable, reliable and quality minded. Must be willing to learn the product, and to assist both the loading dock and the customer with loading/unloading. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and willing to take an annual physical and drug screen. Compensation may be adjustable depending on additional license skills, such as pulling doubles. This job posting is for a general production position. Typical hours for this position would be 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. The end of the shift may vary due to the amount of work scheduled for a particular day. There will be no weekend work. Experience in construction and the use of hand tools is preferred. Duties and responsibilities will include: Should be self-motivated and able to work independently or as a team. Must be dependable, reliable and quality minded. Responsible to perform assembly line duties to build millwork products such as door units, window units, and door and window frames. Upon completion of training, responsible to operate machines and power tools to aid in assembly of millwork products. Perform routine, general maintenance and adjustments on production machines. Verify dimensions and appearance of component parts before they are used in production. Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to pass a drugscreen and be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with all local laws/regulations.
